Sulung Research Station Maintain ISO 17025 Accreditation

In globalization era, assurance of quality and quality of test results is needed. The laboratory's role is very decisive in the quality control and assurance process. To achieve uniformity of analysis results between laboratories, an international standard that includes a good quality and technical system is needed, one of which is the ISO / IEC 17025 standard.

 

The Eldest Research Station (SRS) Analytical Laboratory as part of the Research Institute of PT Sawit Sumbermas Sarana Tbk., Citra Borneo Indah Group has obtained an accreditation certificate from the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 17025: 2017 as a Testing Laboratory with accreditation number LP-1056-IDN since 2016. The SRS Analytical Laboratory succeeded in maintaining the accreditation certification at the re-accreditation carried out by the National Accreditation Committee in 2020. The re-accreditation was determined on February 24, 2021 based on the decision of the meeting of the National Accreditation Committee (KAN) and will be valid for 5 (five ) year i.e. until 22 November 2025.

 

By maintaining the SRS Analytical Laboratory accreditation status, the laboratory has proven its commitment, consistency and competence in implementing ISO 17025 in every activity in the laboratory. In addition, this also means that the SRS Laboratory has met various requirements that are set and recognized internationally.

 

It is also hoped that this can increase the confidence of the oil palm plantation business actors and other industries. The materials or products that can be tested in the SRS Analytical Laboratory are plant tissue, soil, inorganic fertilizers, groundwater, river water, waste water and crude palm oil (CPO).

 

This accreditation is one of the very important activities in realizing a reliable national quality infrastructure to increase competitiveness, so the existence of the SRS Analytical Laboratory plays a role in increasing competitiveness so that the goal of advancing public welfare and providing added value and trust for stakeholders is achieved.
