SSMS Successfully Achieved ISO 45001 Certificate

PT Sawit Sumbermas Sarana Tbk. (SSMS) Successfully Achieved the ISO 45001: 2018 Management System certificate.

ISO 45001: 2018 is an international standard that determines requirements related to occupational management systems health and safety management (OH&S). This system is equipped with usage guidelines, so that an organization can proactively improve occupational health and safety performance in preventing work accidents.

The Head of Sustainability Rudy Hendrarto said , SSMS and its subsidiaries have gone through the ISO 45001: 2018 System Management audit process for ten days, which was conducted from 30 September to 10 October 2019. The ISO 45001 System Management audit process was carried out by an external Certification Intstitution of PT SGS Indonesia.

Furthermore Rudy Hendrarto said that the audit results from PT SGS Indonesia showed that SSMS obtained ISO 45001: 2018 recommendations. Previously, SSMS and all of its subsidiaries were OHSAS 18001 certified, which was issued in 2007

ISO 45001: 2018 is a transition (successor) to the OHSAS 18001: 2007 standard which will end in March 2021. To improve occupational safety and health standards, SSMS is taking steps to accelerate the 45001: 2018 transition.

By obtaining this certificate, SSMS is increasingly committed to continuing to provide and maintain the quality of the products produced, without having to pollute the environment and minimize the occurrence of workplace accidents.
